dangermusic: Invisible Cities

rovdog · 1 year agoRead if on a winter's night a traveler many years ago and loved it. I think I've read at least part of Invisible cities, because I think I remember this vignette that you're talking about. Is this the one about the ship out in the harbor he wants to return to and the picture, etc... with like quasi-roman imagery or am I think of something else? Anyhow, I remember loving it. Another, less obtuse, super boring but ridiculously brilliant book about the strangeness of place is "The Enigma of Arrival" by VS Naipaul. I read it recently and it blew me away.
